Battleon Briefing Vol. 2 "Infinity Hero Class"
Hello heroes! We’ve got a super exciting week ahead for Infinity, so let's skip the small talk and jump right in. Because if the promo pic is ~any~ indication of what's coming... then yeah, y'all are about to ascend into a whole new level of hype. Save me a seat up there! And although I am legally obligated to tell you to remain calm… I am also legally obligated to admit that I absolutely won't be following my own advice.

Infinity Hero Class
Kickstarter backers who pledged at the Founder tier and above will be able to get the Infinity Hero Class from their Founder shop and unleash it in Infinity.
One important note: this Class is built ✨specifically✨ for AQWorlds Infinity. If you try equipping it in classic AQWorlds, it'll currently show “No Class.” We’ll be working on backwards compatibly for this Class… along with the tiny little task of making another ~20,000 items work too… so no pressure, right?
Oh!!! And we can't wait to see what happens when an entire room full of players are running around with the new Class. Can you just imagine 10 Infinity Heroes casting massive abilities at once?!? That's either going to be glorious ~or~ an incredibly effective stress test. Probably both. And we can’t wait to see both your screenshots and screengrabs on this Discord channel!
Also releasing this week: Graveyard expansion
If you've already braved the Undead in the Graveyard, it's time to head back in because there's more lurking beyond the gates. It would be a ‘grave’ mistake not to check it out!
Speaking of checking things out…
Kickstarter update #29
Artix wrote an absolutely massive Kickstarter update on Friday. It's packed with development updates, progress reports, and behind-the-scenes goodness that's way too meaty to squeeze into this little briefing. If you already devoured it, then great! But if not, here's the bite-sized version:
- New Alpha Build: The new Steam update added unlimited Class storage, improved controller support, mobile fixes, Steam achievements, sponsored item credits, better monster AI, inventory improvements, and lots of bug fixes.
- Pledge Manager update: Kickstarter's messaging system is still broken, making it difficult for some backers to request their reward codes. The team is manually sending codes to all backers who recently completed the pledge manager as a work around waiting for Kickstarter to fix it. Thanks for understanding!
- Reward Codes: Steam keys and reward codes continue to be emailed out every few days as completed pledges are processed.
- Android Progress: Infinity is now running on Android… for devs only! It's still being worked on, but seeing players logged into the same servers from Warlic’s phone is a huge milestone.
- Founder's Sanctuary: Development continues on the Sanctuary, where Founders will claim rewards and Immortal Founders can display their custom statues.
- Player Statues: Statue generation is now working on the game servers, and Immortal Founders will be able to remake their statue as many times as they like.
- Sponsored Items: Sponsored items now proudly displays its backer(s) with a new credit system.
- Guild Halls sneak peek: Artix also shared the first concepts for Guild Halls, teasing shared guild spaces with trophies, decorations, and yes, I know what caught everyone's attention: TRADE SKILLS!!!
What the team's building this week
Here's a look behind the scenes at what the team is hammering away at:
- Combat & monster improvements
- Mobile fixes and improvements BUT not available for play testing yet
- Better item conversion magic (Warlic has been summoning IRL magic)
- Improvements to Founder Statue generation
- Continued work on the Founder Sanctuary maps
- Spellstones are getting closer... just not close enough to talk about this week
- An all new Class UI (for all that unlimited Class storage)
- Working on an extended game intro
- New areas in development...
- Improving monster attack, hit, and death animations (thanks Nulgath)
- AQWorlds Soundtrack is getting closer (thanks Jongaar)
- And something mysteriously labeled as... “Dusting.” I honestly don't know what it means… but I'm choosing to believe it has absolutely nothing to do with my desk 👀
Until next time
AQW Infinity keeps growing every single week, and we're getting closer to larger Alpha tests, more Classes, more zones, more features, and more opportunities to stress-test the game together.
If you're hopping into Alpha this week, be sure to take the Infinity Hero Class for a spin, brave the expanded Graveyard during your next “knight shift,” and keep the feedback coming.
As always, we hope you keep enjoying Infinity as much as we love making it alongside you.
See you in Battleon and beyond!
