
WOW! What an intense & great day. Did you ever watch one of those TV shows where the people are making something... cakes, costumes, and such. And for the first 50 minutes of the show it looks like nothing is happening and out of no where in the last 10 minutes everything instantly comes together? I think we are in that phase. Every Monday we kick off our week with a full team meeting.... (minus most Canadians today because it is a holiday). This one was no normal meeting. We are planning on launching Alpha at the end of this week or beginning of next week!

So we crawled through the whole process from the very start...
We made new characters
(It broke. We fixed it.)
We used the new rewards code page to get our codes
(It broke. We fixed it.)
We used the code to unlock the game.
(It broke. We fixed it.)
We joined the game!
(It worked! But then my power went out.... cruel, cruel universe)

We watched the opening cutscene.
We played all the way through the Intro....
(It ALMOST worked... but I died in the boss fight and it spawned me in the wrong place)
So we wrote some new code. Everyone was building.
Big and little bugs were being fixed left and right.
We thought... you know, Alpha testers might want to reset their stories so they can re-test playing the adventures....

So we added a new feature where you can reset your entire quest lines.

We made it so your name is in proper case when an NPC talks to you.

We prettied up the Character Selection screen.
Which is a weird thing to call it. You can only select from one character currently.
I mean... we it is technically possible to let you have multiple characters. But since we would have to make that work in both games at the same time, that will have to be a much later thing. We have plenty of current features to break!

Plenty of bugs.
Alpha is going to be an excellent source of BUGs and calcium when served with milk.
But as we fix any bugs preventing you from getting in and having fun.... it is going to be a memorable experience.

We still need to clean up town, fix some issues in Bludrut and the lair... add loot drops... and most importantly, make sure the first batch of Kickstarter rewards are actually loading in Infinity. (They are already in Worlds, and looking GREAT).
The Alpha servers will go up first.
Then, we will start sending backers their codes.

Those of you who read these messages and are well prepared for the chaos to come.... and are already prepared to handle it with the calm demeanor of a Jedi Knight.

Getting in on the first day or the first week does not matter We will not be making anything rare and you will not be missing out.
So if there is a problem with your email, or codes, or steam, or the server... it is no big deal. It is part of the Alpha process. We WILL solve it, fix it, and get through it.
