Hope you have been well. It has been an extra spooky month already with the hurricanes. But now, as the horror filled holiday of Mogloween approaches, the Infinity team regroups to push onward to the next goal.
Thank you for your patience and my apologies for this late update. We got power back on Monday, and I have been bouncing around getting caught up.
If I have learned anything this past week's storm... Bitcoin & credit cards are ultimately worthless in an emergency. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by Hurricane Milton. The hurricane winds knocked a tree into Dage's garage. Warlic's roof was damaged. My new neighbors, who had just finished building their house and had not moved in yet.... had a giant tree crash through the second story of their house. Many of us lost power for days. Everyone on the team reported in fine and as of today has power restored. But man... a few days without power and empty gas stations and the whole town devolved into Mad Max. We really take our electronic devices for granted. My generator failed from a faulty heat sensor, so my family went by candlelight this weekend. When there is no running water, and toilets do not flush it really hits home how dependent on technology we are. When it got dark outside... it was just... dark. No lights, no computers, no working coffee maker to stay up programming and working. Members of the team all commented they did something weird-- they slept. O_O As the petroleum trucks came into refill gas stations they would have police escorts and the lines for fuel were crazy long. Any store that was open only took cash. Who uses that any more? Was surprised that I actually still had any in my wallet. It was that moment I realized how silly the idea of depending on credit cards, banks, and crypto-currency really is. Pretty crazy. We did not have it very bad either... been spending a lot of time thinking about the folks hit hardest and how unbelievably stressful it is. It is important to be grateful for the joys we have in life.

With the whole team back online we were ready to sync up on Infinity's progress. Despite the hurricane, a lot of the to do list was accomplished. We are going to need at least one more Tech Demo to test all of the base classes, hair/helms, and Bludrut before we start the Alpha.
Gorillaphant SMASH!
The last tech demo was a success. Many of the big list of things you reported from the last tech demo have already been fixed. Spider handled most of the combat issues already. You will be happy to hear that Yorumi increased the amount you can type into chat. A few players sent extremely detailed logs for button spam issues which is being addressed.
Here are the things are are working on now
Each year we celebrate Mogloween together across our online video games. Mogloween is based on Halloween... a real-life holiday we celebrate here in the US. Children dress up in costumes and go door-to-door saying "Trick or Treat!" hoping to get candy. Many, many moons ago... when creating the original AdventureQuest, we added Mogloween to allow you and other players to have that very same experience in game. Heroes would wear masks to disguise themselves form the Moglins, who on this special night would turn into Moglinster monsters and try to eat you. The Heroes would go door-to-door in game getting a treat (a candy like currency) or a trick. As the team grew and new games like DragonFable, AQWorlds, and AdventureQuest 3D released, the legend and mythos around Mogloween expanded. Entire towns full of strange new loot, stories, characters, boss monsters, and challenges were created and only re-appear around this time of year. Typically, previous Mogloween areas re-appear and something new is added.
If you have not looked yet, we would love for you to hop in and join us in our online games at Artix.com.
Battle on!

P.S. How about next week we resume the daily Infinity update posts?
